1 cup milk
1 small onion, coarsely chopped

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 whole egg plus 1 egg yolk, beaten
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Lard or oil for frying
2 quarts meat stock, or 2 quarts canned beef broth (3 cans condensed beef broth plus equal amount water)
1 cup canned tomato sauce
