The Best Chili Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 soft boiled yam or sweet potato
  • 2 packets of sazon Goya Natural & Complete (or any one will work)
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1 red pepper, chopped
  • 2 green bell peppers, chopped
  • 2 lg. onions, chopped
  • 2 lg. garlic cloves, minced (I have used garlic powder and worked fine)
  • 5 lbs ground turkey
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 2 - 6oz cans tomato paste
  • 8 tbsp chili powder
  • 4 tsp cumin
  • 3 tbsp italian seasoning
  • 2 tsp black pepper or to taste
  • 2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 2 tsp sugar, equal or honey or to taste ( I love it with honey)
  • 1 - 10 oz can chili beans
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • juice of 1 lime
  • dash of original Tabasco sauce or to taste ( I always add a lot more if it is just for hubby and me, we like it hot also add jalepeno Tabasco sauce, yum)
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • tortilla chips or crackers for dipping.

Description

This Is A Unique Healthy Version Of Chili Made With Ground Turkey And Lots Of Veggies. It Is Spicy But Can Be Altered To Your Taste. Great Served With Tortilla Chips Or Crackers If You Prefer
