Two-Bread Dressing

Ingredients

  • 9 strips thick-cut bacon; cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup finely diced celery
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 8 slices cottage bread, toasted
  • 3 cups crumbled cornbread
  • 1 1/2 tsp dried sage
  • 1 Tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp dried thyme, crushed
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary, crushed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3 Tbsp melted butter
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Both White Bread & Cornbread Are Used In This Stuffing, Which Also Has Eggs, Bacon, Vegetables & Seasonings, And Is Moistened With Whipping Cream & Broth.
