Lynne's Zippy Beef Stew

Ingredients

    3 pounds stew meat or chuck cut into 1 " cubes
    1/2 pound carrots peeled and chopped
    1/2 pound celery diced
    2 pounds chopped yellow onions
    1/4 cup chopped fresh garlic
    4 tbs olive oil
    1 pound sliced white and crimini mushrooms
    1 pound mini red pottoes halved or red bliss potatos cut into 1/2 " pieces
    2 tbs worcestershire sauce
    2 tsp sugar
    juice of half lemon
    8 cups beef broth, not consume but good stock
    water as needed
    1 teaspoon paprika
    1/4 tsp allspice
    2 tsp salt
    1 tsp pepper
    1 tsp garlic powder
    2 bay leaves
    4 tbs flour
