3 oz Raw almonds; skinned
3 oz Raw peanuts or walnuts
4 oz Sesame seeds
1 md Plantain; sliced in 1/2-inch slices
1 1/2 White onions; roasted
10 Cloves garlic; roasted
10 Chiles chihuacles or mulatos; roasted, seeded, deveined, and soaked in water
10 Chiles pasillas; preferably black; roasted, seeded, deveined, and soaked in water
2 Chiles chipotles; roasted, seeded, deveined, and soaked in water
2 Tbl to 3 Tbl mixed seeds from above chiles; roasted
6 Avocado leaves or 1/4 tsp anise; roasted
1 Tbl Whole allspice; roasted
1/2 tsp Black peppercorns; roasted
4 lg Plum tomatoes; roasted
4 Tortilla, corn; charred
1 1/2 quart to 2 qt chicken broth; skimmed of fat
4 Onion slices
Salt to taste
3 oz to 4 oz Mexican chocolate tablets (containing cinnamon)
