Ingredients


    1/2 c unsweetened applesauce

    1/4 c canola oil

    1/2 c honey or sweetener of your choice

    4 eggs

    2 c mashed roasted butternut squash (or substitute any orange winter squash)

    2 c whole wheat flour (preferable stone ground)

    1 and 1/2 c all purpose flour

    2 t baking soda

    1 and 1/2 t salt

    1/2 t baking powder

    2 t cinnamon

    1/2 t ground ginger

    2 t allspice

    1/4 c chia seeds

    1/4 c ground flax meal

    1/4 c raisins

    1/4 c cranberries (preferably juice sweetened)

    1/4 c dark or semi sweet chocolate chips (optional)

    1/2 c slivered almonds
