ï¶ 1/2-cup applesauce (this can be replaced with apple butter, pureed banana, pumpkin, prune or other fruit of your choice)
ï¶ 1-cup lowfat buttermilk
ï¶ 1-egg, beaten
ï¶ 1-teaspoon vanilla
ï¶ 1/2-cup sugar
ï¶ 1/2-cup plain yogurt
ï¶ 1-cup bran
ï¶ 1-1/4 cups whole wheat flour
ï¶ 1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
ï¶ 1-teaspoon baking powder
ï¶ 1-teaspoon salt
ï¶ 1/4-cup chopped walnuts or pecans or even coconut
ï¶ 1/2-cup dried mixed fruits of your choice (raisins, bananas, apples, pineapples, etc...I use fruit that I dehydrate in my dehydrator)
ï¶ 1/4-cup grape nuts cereal
