Japanese Cabbage Salad

Ingredients

    1/2 head cabbage, shredded
    1 c bean sprouts
    2 c sliced, fresh mushrooms
    2 c chopped green onions
    Fresh or canned shrimp or 2 c cooked chicken (or both) (opt--not included in calorie count)

    Add just before serving:
    1/2 c slivered almonds
    2 T toasted sesame seeds
    1/4 c sunflower seeds
    3 oz pkg Ramen noodles (dry)
    1 sm can chow mein noodles

    Dressing:
    1 sm pkt of Ramen seasoning
    1/2 c cooking oil
    2-4 T soy sauce
    3 T vinegar
    1 T sugar
    1 t MSG (opt)
    1 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp pepper
