    * 1 1/2 cups ketchup
    * 1/2 cup tomato juice (I used V8)
    * 1/4 cup packed brown sugar (I used dark brown sugar)
    * 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
    * 4 teaspoons soy sauce (I used braggs)
    * 1 teaspoon mustard powder
    * 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
    * 2 bay leaves
