    6 cups vegetable broth
    4 cups butternut squash, peeled, deseeded, and cut into 1-inch pieces
    1 cup diced carrot
    1 cup diced celery
    1 T. ground cumin
    2 t. paprika
    2 T. ras el hanout (or to taste)
    4 cups shredded cabbage
    2 cups cooked chickpeas
    2 cups cooked lentils
    1/4 cup freshly chopped Italian parsley
