Slow Cooker Harvest Pork Stew

Ingredients

    2 lb boneless pork shoulder roast, trimmed of fat, cut into 1-inch pieces
    2 medium 9" long parsnips, peeled, chopped (about 2 cups)
    1 1/2 large red onion, cut into 1" pieces
    2 large stalks celery, into 1-2" pieces
    2 large carrots, into 1-2" pieces
    1 cup dried apricots
    1 cup pitted dried plums
    1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
    1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
    14 1/2 oz. can chicken broth, canned, less/reduced sodium
    14 1/2 oz. can apple cider
    2 large Golden Delicious apples (about 1 1/2 to 2 lb)
