Compota De Frutas (winter Fruit Compote)

Ingredients

  • 6 dried figs
  • 6 prunes
  • 6 dried apricots
  • 1/2 cup golden raisins
  • 1/2 cup Calvados (apple brandy)
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
  • 2 teaspoons grated orange rind
  • 1 apple, peeled and cut into 12 wedges
  • 1 pear, peeled and cut into 12 wedges

Description

This Typical Basque Dessert Uses Both Fresh And Dried Fruit. Serve It With Fresh Cheese Or Spooned Over Pound Cake.
