Shrimp Napa Wraps

Ingredients

  • Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon dark sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • Wraps:
  • 12 napa (Chinese) cabbage leaves
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded carrot
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
  • 3/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
  • 1 tablespoon minced peeled fresh ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked bean threads (cellophane noodles; about 3 ounces uncooked)
  • 36 medium shrimp, cooked and peeled (about 1 1/4 pounds)
