  • 1 pound turkey kielbasa, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 2 1/2 cups chopped onion
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 cup (1/4-inch) sliced carrot
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 (14 1/2-ounce) can fat-free, less-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can no-salt-added diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup (1/4-inch-thick) red bell pepper rings
  • 1 1/2 cups (1-inch) cubed French bread
  • 1/3 cup (about 1 1/2 ounces) grated fresh Parmesan cheese
