1-1/4   cups dry pinto beans 4   cups cold water 6   cups water 1   cup regular brown rice 1   tablespoon olive oil 1   cup chopped onion (1 large onion) 1/2   cup chopped green sweet peppers 1/4   cup finely shredded carrot 1   cup bottled barbecue sauce 1/4   cup water 2   tablespoons toasted wheat germ 1/4   teaspoon ground cinnamon   Sea salt or salt and pepper 6   to 8 whole-wheat hamburger buns or Kaiser rolls split and toasted, if you like
