  • 3 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbsp. Unsalted butter
  • 3 x Cloves peeled garlic, thinly sliced
  • 2 lb Red onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 c. Dry white wine
  • 1/4 c. Balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 c. Flour
  • 4 c. Beef broth
  • 4 c. Chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp Dry thyme
  • 1 x Bay leaf
  • 1 x Long French baguette bread
  • 2 lrg Cloves peeled garlic
  •     Salt and freshly grnd black pepper
  • 1/4 c. Cream, optional
