Panforte With Creme Fraiche Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. whole hazelnuts, peeled, toasted and minced
  • 3/4 c. whole almonds, toasted and minced
  • 3/4 c. candied orange peel, minced
  • 6 Tbsp. candied lemon peel, minced
  • 6 Tbsp. raisins
  • 6 ounce dark chocolate, bittersweet or possibly semisweet, cut into pcs
  • 6 Tbsp. all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 dsh black pepper
  • 1/2 c. + 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 c. + 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
  •     Creme Fraiche
  • 2 c. whipping cream
  • 2 Tbsp. buttermilk or possibly lemon juice
