Fontina Zuppa With Mushrooms And Bacon Recipe

Ingredients

  • 10 x -12 thick slices of bacon
  • 2 lrg shallots, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp dry oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dry basil
  • 4 x garlic cloves, sliced
  • 12 ounce fresh mushrooms, thickly sliced
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. dry vermouth (may substitute chicken broth)
  • 2 c. lowfat milk
  • 2 can chicken broth
  • 1 c. orzo pasta (about 6 ounces)
  • 8 ounce cubed fontina cheese
  • 1 c. dairy lowfat sour cream
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  •     Pepper to taste
  •     Salt if needed
