  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 c. buttermilk, sour lowfat milk or possibly sweet lowfat milk with 1 T vinegar added
