  • 5 c. Apples (tart) (note below) peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 c. Brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1/4 c. Water
  • 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. All-purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
  • 2 x Pie crust shells (9") unbaked
