Dark Chocolate Pudding With Vanilla Cream Recipe

Ingredients

For the dark chocolate pudding:
  • 800 ml milk
  • 100 ml liquid whipping cream
  • 250 gr dark chocolate 85% cacao (or any dark choco of your choice. 70% would be enough if you don't like it to be too bitter)
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup sugar (or according to your taste)
  • 2 egg yolks. Stir lightly with a fork, dissolved in 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 sachet of plain (transparent) agar agar powder (7 gr). Basically it's a vegetarian gelatin substitute, made from seaweed. You can find it in Asian stores/supermarkets. If you have difficulties in finding it some people use gelatin instead. But I don't know the measurement since I've never used gelatin.. -_-;



  •  For the vanilla cream:

  • 500 ml milk
  • 100 ml liquid whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar (or according to your taste)
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • a little bit of salt
  • 2 egg yolks, stir lightly with a fork, dissolved in 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch, dissolved in a little bit of water
