Blueberry (raspberry) Crumb Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, divided use
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon zest, finely grated
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups blueberries (raspberries), fresh or unthawed frozen
  • Topping:
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped
