  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 3/4 cup Dutch-processed unsweetened cocoa
  • 2/3 cup buttermilk

  • 4 ounces chopped semisweet chocolate
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup chopped roasted, unsalted peanuts (optional)
