Amish Dinner Rolls

Ingredients

  • Servings: 15-16

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 6 tablespoons (3 ounces) butter
  • 1 cup (7 1/4 ounces) unseasoned mashed potatoes, lightly packed*
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup water (potato water, if possible)
  • 4 1/4 cups (18 ounces) Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
  • *1 medium-to-large baking potato will yield 8 ounces of mashed potato.
