  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 2 sprigs parsley
  • 2 sprigs thyme (or substitute another herb such as fennel, basil, tarragon, chervil, or marjoram)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon juice to taste
