Rabbit with gnocchi and sherry

Ingredients

  • 25 g butter
  • 50 g lardons of bacon
  • 1 stick celery
  • 1 rabbit, jointed into 6-8 portions
  • 4 plum tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • few sprigs of fresh marjoram
  • black pepper
  • 100 ml sherry
  • 150 ml chicken stock
  • 1/2 green pepper, cut into strips
  • crusty bread, to serve
For the potato gnocchi:

  • 600 g floury potatoes, such as King Edwards or Maris Piper
  • 1 large egg
  • black pepper
  • 450 g flour
  • drizzle of olive oil
