  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 11/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 oz dark or bittersweet chocolate, grated on large holes of a box grater
  • Glaze
  • 3 oz dark or bittersweet chocolate
  • stick butter
  • 1/2 Tbsp light corn syrup
