  • 1 pound beef for stew , cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cup V8® 100% Vegetable Juice
  • 1 3/4 cup Swanson® Beef Broth
  • Swanson® Beef Stock
  • 1 medium onion , chopped (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves , crushed
  • 1/9 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 medium carrot , cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 2 medium potato , cut into cubes (about 2 cups)
  • 2 stalk celery , cut into 1-inch pieces (about 1 1/2 cups)
