Spicy Beer-brined Ribs

Ingredients

  • 3 12-oz. cans  beer
  • 3 Tbsp.  coarse kosher salt
  • 3 Tbsp.  packed brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp.  celery seeds
  • 1 Tbsp.  cayenne pepper
  • 1-1/2 tsp.  ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp.  liquid smoke (optional)
  • 4 lb.  meaty pork spareribs or loin back ribs
  • 1/2 cup  Honey-Beer Barbecue Sauce* or bottled barbecue sauce
