- 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
- 3/4 cup bottled roasted red sweet pepper, drained and chopped
- 8 cups cubed white bread slices (12 ounces)
- 12 oz. American or cheddar cheese, shredded (3 cups)
- 8 eggs
- 3 cups milk
- 1-1/2 tsp. dry mustard or 3 tablespoons Dijon-style mustard
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
