- 3 medium red tomatoes (about 1 pound) or 12 red cherry tomatoes
- 3 medium yellow tomatoes (about 1 pound) or 12 yellow cherry tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons finely snipped fresh chives (optional)

- Freshly ground pepper
