  • One 28-ounce can Italian crushed tomatoes
  • 1 pound lasagna noodles, broken into jagged pieces
  • 1 cup basil leaves, torn
  • 1 cup whole-milk ricotta
  • Grated parmigiano-reggiano cheese, to pass around the table
