- 1 pound cavatappi pasta (hollow short curls with lines) or penne
- 1 cup sharp white cheddar cheese, shredded, divided
- 1 cup Gruyère cheese, shredded, divided
- 1 cup Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, grated, divided
