Filet Mignon With Red Onion Marmalade And Blue Cheese Recipe

Ingredients

  • red onion Marmalade

  • 1 Tbs extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tbs butter
  • 1 large red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 c. port wine
  • 1 c. Burgundy wine (or any dry red)
  • 1/2 c. fresh orange juice
  • 1/3 c. honey
  • 1/4 c. balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp. orange zest
  • **************************
  • 4-7 to 9 oz filet mignon
  • 2 large garlic cloves cut in half
  • salt and fresh cracked pepper
  • 1 - 8 oz Block of blue cheese (I like Stilton or gorgonzola)

Description

This Is The Best Way To Eat A Filet Mignon. I Had It In A Restaurant And Went Straight Home And Found A Recipe For The Red Onion Marmalade (stolen From Scearley) That Is A Perfect Compliment To The Beef And The Blue Cheese On Top.
