- 1/4 c sugar
- 1 T baking powder
- 1 t kosher salt
- 1/2 t cream of tartar
- 6 T unsalted butter, cold, cubed
- 1 c sharp chddar, shredded
- 1 c buttermilk
- 1 egg, beaten
