Ingredients
- 2 regular potatoes
- 2 cups salted water
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp sage (optional)
- 3 T butter
- 1 medium onion, chopped fine
- 3 T flour
- 1 1/4 cup whipping cream
- 1 small can (11 oz.) corn [I usually use Green Giant Niblets]
- 4 oz. grated medium cheddar cheese (about 1 1/2 cups)
- salt and pepper to taste
- croutons or crusty French bread
