Ingredients

  • 2 cups Onion, chopped

  • 6 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces Hot Italian Sausage, casings removed
  • 1 pound Ground Sirloin
  • 1 tablespoon Anchovy Paste, or 1/2 cup kalamata olives, pitted and sliced
  • 14 cup Tomato Paste
  • 1 12 teaspoons Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 12 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
  • 28 ounces Crushed Tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Oregano, chopped
  • 16 ounces Mafaldine Pasta, uncooked
  • 12 cup Fresh Basil, torn
  • 3 ounces Fresh Parmesan Reggiano Cheese, shaved

Description

Mafaldine Is A Flat Noodle With Ruffled Edges. You Can Substitute Spaghetti.
