Double Potato Casserole

Ingredients

7 large Russet potatoes, peeled and cubed (one sliced thinly)
4 Tablespoons butter
5-6 cloves garlic
1 Cup milk
1/4 Cup cream
1 1/2 Cups shredded cheese.  I like Pepper Jack
6 strips thick bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled
Salt and pepper
Olive oil
Optional herbs: Sage, Rosemary, Thyme, etc.

A Garlicky Thick Layer Of Potatoes Topped With Cheese, Bacon, And Thinly Sliced Potatoes. The Potatoes On Top Are Crispy, Hiding The Creamy Ones Inside!
