  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
  • 24 cloves garlic, minced (about 4 Tbs.)
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1/2 C. hot water
  • 1 C. lager beer
  • 3 Tbs. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbs. Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbs. cider vinegar
  • Cornstarch dissolved in water, for gravy
