  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • 6 green cardamom pods
  • 1 red onion, cut into wedges
  • 1 yellow onion, cut into wedges
  • 2 cups dried tart red cherries or dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup loosely packed thyme leaves
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
