    Pinch turmeric
    1/2 tsp salt
    2 1/4 cups water

    1 cup chopped onion
    1TBL canola pil
    2 tsp grated peeled fresh ginger root
    1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    Pinch of red pepper flakes

    1/2 cup water
    1 small sweet potato diced
    2 cups cauliflower florets (make them small)
    1 cup red bell pepper diced
    1 cup tomato diced
    1/2 cup green peas
    1/3 cup golden raisins
    3/4 cups chick peas
    salt to taste
