Chick Pea Curry (chenna Dal) Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb chick peas
  • 1 x cinnamon stick, 2 inch piece
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 ounce ghee
  • 2 ounce veg. oil
  • 1 med onion
  • 2 x cloves garlic
  • 1 x green pepper
  • 4 x dry red chilies
  • 2 tsp grnd turmeric
  • 1 tsp fenugreek seed
  • 2 tsp grnd cumin
  • 3 tsp grnd coriander
  • 2 Tbsp. tomato puree
  • 4 x cloves
  • 4 x cardamom
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh mint, minced
