  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 large cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 medium yellow or red onion, minced
  • 1 can chickpeas (15-ounce), drained and rinsed
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 1 pound farfalle or other short pasta
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts, toasted
  • Parmesan cheese to taste
