Greek Croustade

Ingredients

  • 1 10-ounce package  frozen chopped spinach
  • 1/4 cup  chopped onion
  • 3 tablespoons  butter or margarine
  • 3 tablespoons  all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon  dried tarragon or fennel seed, crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon  pepper
  • 3/4 cup  milk
  • 2   beaten eggs
  • 1 cup  cream-style cottage cheese
  • 2/3 cup  crumbled feta cheese
  • 10 sheets  frozen phyllo dough (17x12-inch rectangles), thawed
  • 1/2 cup  butter or margarine, melted

Description

The Spinach, Feta Cheese, And Phyllo Make It Greek; The Fact That It's An Edible Pastry Container Holding A Thick Vegetable Mixture Makes It A "croustade" (pronounced Kroo-STAHD).
