- 5 TBSP butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 heaping cup (4 oz) grated top quality sharp cheddar (from Vermont if you want to be really American about it)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 4 oz Velveta American cheese, cut into small chunks
- 1/2+cup crushed Ritz crackers
