Apple Dumplings


Flour, for dusting
1 8-ounce Can crescent rolls
1 Granny smith apple, peeled, cored and cut into 8 wedges
1 stick (4 oz) butter
3/4 cup Brown sugar
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
3/4 cup Mountain Dew
Diabetic friendly version:
Just switch out the brown sugar for Splenda brown sugar (make sure to look on the back for the measurement conversions!) and I used diet Mountain Dew but my Aunt said apple juice instead of the Mountain Dew all together works great too to help with sugar control even more.
