Paella My Way Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 to 5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion, roughly chopped
  • 1 red or green bell pepper, julienned
  • 1 teaspoon fresh garlic, minced
  • 8 to 10 chicken thighs
  • 2 cups uncooked long grain white rice
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1 cup cooked ham, cubed, 2 links chorizo sausage, sliced or 2 sweet or hot italian sausage links, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 3 1/2 cups hot chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • pinch ground thyme
  • 1 can whole baby clams, drained
  • 8 ounces medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 (10 ounce) box frozen artichoke hearts, thawed
  • 1 cup frozen peas, thawed

Description

This Is A Great Meal To Prepare For Company, Especially The Kind That End Up In The Kitchen Anyway And Can Pitch In And Help. This May Not Be A "purist" Version Of Paella, But It Works For Me!
