  • 2 cups Post 100% Bran cereal
  • 1 packet (40g) Carnation Breakfast Anytime, chocolate flavour
  • 1/4 cup Torani (or similar) vanilla-flavoured syrup (use sugar-free if you want)
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1/4 cup skim milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tsp butter flavouring (optional, I use Wilton brand)
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
