Ingredients
- 1/4 ounce dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 cups water (warm, I used at 90 degrees)
- 2-1/2 tbsp shortening
- 6-7 cups all purpose or bread flour
- 1/8-1/4 cup butter

Got This From Recipezaar Who Got It From An Old Amish Cookbook. Tried It The Day I Was Making Beef Stew And It Is So Good For Soaking Up Juices. Makes Great Sandwiches, Too!
