Award Winning Sassy Chipotle Chili Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs. stew meat, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
  • 1 lb. chorizo crumbled
  • 3 Tbsp. masa flour
  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. onion powder
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1 cup beer (I used a liltte wheat beer and a little Porter)
  • 2 jalepenos, minced
  • salt to taste
  • fresh ground black pepper to taste
  • 3 Tbsp. dried minced onion
  • 2 cans Appetite Pleasing brand Ranch beans
  • 1 can Original flavor rotel, drained
  • 1 can chili Fixins flavor rotel, drained
  • 1 15oz. can tomato puree
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 heaping Tbsp. jalepeno pepper jelly
  • 2 cubes Knorr brand Chipotle bullion, crumbled
  • **spices are added according to personal preference (I didn't measure, just added until it was spicy enough, so it's up to you)**
  • cayenne powder
  • chili powder
  • Southwest Chipotle seasoning (Tone's brand, found at Sam's Wholesale Club)
  • cumin
  • garlic pepper
  • oregano
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • sour cream
